This Fall, we're opting for more subtle, neutural colours for our polishes. The two colours above are super versatile for day and night time. Essie is one of our favourite brands because it's super smooth to apply and they have amaze-balls colours! We're also digging the dark plums and maroons, as they are not too harsh against our pale complexions but still give a dramatic effect.

CoverGirl lipstick in Enamor

We are OBSESSED with lipstick right now (actually, who are we kidding, we've always been obsessed!), so we've been experimenting with different colours and textures for the fall. We usually opt for matte textures, such as the CoverGirl lipstick, since it gives a more clean and bold look. However, MAC's lacquer is a great alternative for those who like the added shine without it looking too cheesy. For eyes, we're thinking colour, colour, colour! Why not have fun this fall and dip into some golds, dark purples, bronzes and oranges? Pair it with a lighter lip (or dark, for you risk-takers out there) and you're ready for any fall festivity!

Chocolate Brittle Recipe

Well hello there!

A friend of mine has recently given me a recipe for the most ah-mazing chocolate brittle I have ever tasted, figured it would be selfish not to share it. It's super easy to make and perfect for holiday gifts.

Soda crackers (salted or unsalted)
3/4 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar 
chocolate (I prefer dark, not as sweet but they're both good)
Nuts, almonds, coconut (optional)

1. Set oven to 350 F
2. Grease cookie tray (one with edges)
3. Line the tray with soda crackers creating one layer 
4. In a saucepan on medium heat, melt the sugar and the butter together. You may have to turn the heat up or down but allow it to bubble up a bit and thicken - always stirring, don't let it burn!
5. Pour the now caramel sauce over the crackers and spread quickly before it solidifies
6. Put tray in oven for 10 minutes - watch this because this too can burn quickly - the caramel should be quite a golden brown.
7. Take the tray out and turn the oven off. Spread chocolate over the brittle and out back in oven until chocolate melts. Take out, spread chocolate so it covers the surface - add any nuts if you want at this point.
8. Once tray is cool enough, put into your freezer for probably an hour. Once it's solid take it out and break up the brittle and ENJOY!

Store in the fridge.
